JO QUAIL
Jo Quail is a cellist and composer of instrumental music. Performing live as Jo Quail, her music has mesmerised and delighted audiences in the UK, Europe, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand and Japan.
In her live solo performance, Jo plays an electric cello and uses looping to combine atonality with rich orchestration and deft percussive sounds to produce ‘majestic soundscapes’.
Jo also writes specially commissioned pieces for music, film and theatre companies. Jo’s previous commissions include Orphic Film (Fade – 2008), Teatro Vivo (The Three Sisters – 2009), and Caesar Productions (String Casear – 2010) Paul Schoolman’s latest film starring Derek Jacobi and Alice Krige.
Jo’s latest EP “The Pilbara” is a commissioned piece of sound art for the cultural organisation FORM, which explores the diverse landscape of the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Jo also collaborates and performs live with musicians Tallulah Rendall, Rose McDowall and Will Connor of Vultures Quartet. Jo Quail previously wrote and performed in the group SonVer, releasing two albums and three EPs on Line Out and Disconnected Music.

ROSHI feat. PARS RADIO
Roshi ft. Pars Radio is a joint project between Welsh-born, but now London-based singer-songwriter Roshi Nasehi, and electronic musician and percussionist Gagarin.

Roshi is of Iranian origins and her dreamy songs, a mixture of Persian folk songs and her own compositions, combine her delicate vocals with Gagarin’s electronics and keyboards to haunting effect. Gagarin is the moniker for Graham Dowdall, who has worked with Nico, John Cale and more recently Pere Ubu.

The pair have released both an album, ‘The Sky and the Caspian Sea’ (2009), and EP, ‘Mehragan’, together.

RAF AND O
Raf and O are Raf Mantelli and Richard Smith. The two piece band from South London brew their own colour of electronica around the intimate and magnetic voice of Florentine songstress Raf Mantelli, fusing song, live electronics and acoustic / electric instruments.
They have released 3 records on Geo including their full length debut album in 2010, which all garnered glowing reviews and radio plays in UK/ Europe, have extensively collaborated with Gagarin, are writing tracks with Robert Logan on a separate project and have supported amongst others Alabama 3, Rothko, Nedry and legendary Faust.

BIRD RADIO
London based musician Mikey Kirkpatrick is an act with a broad spectrum of inspirations: “Bird” because of the flutes. “Radio” because of the technology he uses.

DBPIT & Xxena
der bekannte post-industrielle trompeter (dbpit) is an experimental/industrial music project created by Flavio Rivabella in 2000 after several years of partecipations side by side with the most relevant members of roman underground scene.
Its main feature is the presence of the trumpet .
XxeNa is a professional graphic-designer and art-editor, she uses music, video-art and painting to express her artistic ego.
recently she has made some semi-autobiographical short movies somehow connected to her brightly-coloured, highly graphic paintings in which she represents an imaginary underwater world dwelled by strange alien techno-fish.

Special guest: ADAM DONEN
Adam Donen is a songwriter, poet, composer, librettist and actor. Born in Cape Town, he now divides his time between London and Berlin.
Critically fêted across Europe, his songs have been compared to those of Cohen and Brel, yet his style is all his own. He has garnered much praise for his performances and “transcendental music that takes you through terror and heartbreak and out the other side.”
His new album, Vampires (2012), “a unique fusion of folk, rock, classical, hymnal and performance poetry,” was launched at London’s Kings Place concert hall in a performance featuring a 16 piece orchestra, dancers and physical theatre performers.
2012 has seen Donen debut work in a variety of artforms. April saw the world premiere of his Requiem for Christopher Hitchens and Russell Hoban, co-written with The Cure’s Roger O’Donnell and performed in Shoreditch Church, London; Donen conducted the ensemble – the premiere has been released as a DVD.

His Brechtian puppet opera, Jokasta, performed in the ruins of London’s Abney Park Cemetery chapel, sold out every night of its opening run, and is currently being translated for performances in Germany.
